Janis Bruchwalski is a self-taught 22 year old artist from Lower Saxony, Germany. He drew all his life and painted on canvas since 2022. He uses acrylic to capture the classic feel of paintings mixed with his storys and ideas.
He gets inspired by 20th century painting, mainly surrealism and expressinism. In his works he often depicts grotesque people in surrealistic places. By trying to see beauty in many ugly things, he explores dreamlike scenes like structures above endless cloudy skys and there surreal atmosphere or dark places with dancing figures.
He will explore fantastic places that keep the viewer wondering. Places that have their own feel, there people can interpret their own stories and meanings into them.
